How much do the tests cost?

Do I need to make an appointment in advance?

No. You can come directly, without an appointment, Monday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and on some Saturdays. If you prefer to secure your time slot, you can also book online.

Do I need a prescription or a referral from my doctor?

Accepted Answer

No. You don't need any paperwork. Just come in, choose your test and we'll do it.

When will I get my results?

Accepted Answer

The same day if you take the test before 4:00 PM. If you come later, you'll have them the next day in the afternoon.

Do you also do blood and hormone tests?

Yes. In addition to STI tests, we do blood and hormone tests without a doctor's referral. Message us on WhatsApp and we'll tell you which tests you need and the price.

Which pack should I choose?

Accepted Answer

Pack 1 (€160): if you want a basic check-up or have no symptoms. Pack 2 (€250): if you have symptoms or want to check everything. HPV test (€150, or +€50 added to a pack): for the human papillomavirus, linked to genital warts and cervical cancer, and in cases of recurrent genital warts. If you're not sure which to choose, message us on WhatsApp and we'll help you.

Is it confidential? Will anyone find out?

Yes, it is completely confidential. Only you and the doctor see your results. We do not inform your family, your employer or any other organisation.

Are the results reliable?

Accepted Answer

Yes, very reliable. Each infection leaves its own "fingerprint". In the lab we look for that fingerprint in your sample: if we find it, you have the infection; if not, you don't. Our technique (PCR) is so sensitive that it finds the fingerprint even in very small amounts. It's only important to take the test at the right time after the risk contact. If you have doubts, the doctor will explain everything.

When should I get tested after a risky encounter?

It depends on the infection. Some can be detected in 1–2 weeks and others need several weeks to show up in the test. If you test too early, the result could be negative even if you have the infection. Tell us when the contact happened and the doctor will tell you the best time, and whether you should repeat the test later. If you have symptoms, don't wait: come now.

I had an HIV risk less than 72 hours ago. What should I do?

Go to an emergency department today. There is a preventive treatment (PEP) that can prevent infection, but it only works if started within the first 72 hours, and the sooner the better. Don't wait to get tested.

Do you accept health insurance?

Yes, through reimbursement: you pay for the test, we give you an invoice, and you submit it to your health insurance to get the amount refunded.

How long does the visit take?

Not long at all. Taking the sample only takes a few minutes. From the moment you walk in until you leave, it takes 20 minutes at most.

How can I pay?

We accept credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and offline payments. You can choose whichever option is most convenient for you.

Does it hurt? How is the sample taken?

Accepted Answer

It's quick and barely uncomfortable. Depending on the test, we take a little blood from your arm (like any blood test), ask for a urine sample or take a sample from the intimate area with a soft swab.

Do I need to prepare in any way?

Accepted Answer

You don't need to fast. If we need a urine sample, try not to urinate for 1–2 hours before coming. If you are taking antibiotics, let us know, as they can affect the result.

What happens if the result is positive?

Don't worry: most of these infections can be cured or controlled very well. The doctor will explain what the result means, what treatment you need and the next steps.

I don't have any symptoms. Is it worth getting tested?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Many sexually transmitted infections show no signs for months or years, but they can still be passed on and cause problems (for example, with fertility). The only way to know is to get tested.
